So I and
a friend of mine embarked on a girl’s trip to the beautiful city of Pondicherry!
The attraction was to travel alone (post marriage) without the comfort of
having a husband by your side taking care of each and everything for you like a
guardian angel always ready to protect you from the big bad world ! Lol! Can we make it on our own? Shocked reactions
to say the least (in my world at least) as it goes against the belief of the
rules of marriage. Interesting reactions; ranging from disbelief to shock to being
judged to finally accepting. I have to say that to go against the tide is an
extremely difficult task for anyone; let alone a woman! Plus the world that we
live in is not woman friendly at all! So
it’s quite scary with all kinds of thought that flow through your mind about
violence against women that’s happening around the world. So the whole idea of
a married woman travelling alone makes no sense to many. Infact I have to
confess that I myself was quite scared; I was literally in two mind not sure of
my decision.
Anyways
to cut the long story short I finally did travel with a friend to Pondicherry and
have to say that I really enjoyed the whole experience of going on a girl’s trip
to Pondicherry. It was a unique experience for me. I enjoyed the freedom of
travelling alone. I really wish that this world would transform into a woman
friendly world; a world that empowers the feminine and not suppresses them. I
really wish from the core of my heart that the masculine would support the
feminine! If only I had a magic lamp; I would wish for the freedom of the feminine
from all the bondage that binds her from discovering her awesomeness! If only
men were not the enemy and treated women like a human being and not as a sex
object! I dare to envision a world where women are safe to be themselves and have the freedom
to express their awesomeness in the best way possible with no judgement attached! Three cheers to Pondicherry!!!
